PET Strap for Automatic Systems — Common Questions

Automatic machines feed strap through a narrow track at high speed. Smooth strap travels more consistently than embossed, reducing feed resistance and the risk of jams. The smooth surface also supports more reliable heat-seal joint formation in systems that use heat as the joining method.
Ideally: machine make and model, rated strap width, rated strap thickness, smooth or embossed finish requirement, and core size (if specified). If you do not have all of this, contact PACKOR with what you know and we will help identify the required specification.
Automatic machines are calibrated to operate within a specific strap dimension range. Dimensional variation outside the machine's tolerance can cause feed failures, tension inconsistency, or poor seal quality. PACKOR supplies strap with below 5% error margin against the specified design requirements to support more reliable automatic machine performance.
Possibly — but only if both machines accept the same width, thickness, and finish. Automatic machines typically require smooth finish; many semi-automatic machines use embossed.
