PET Strap for Semi-Automatic Systems — Common Questions

Most semi-automatic arch machines use friction-weld sealing, which typically requires embossed strap. The textured surface improves grip between the strap layers during the weld process. Some semi-automatic machines use heat sealing and may require smooth strap. Check your machine's documentation or contact PACKOR — this is a critical compatibility question.
16 x 0.7mm is the most common specification used in general warehousing on semi-automatic arch machines. For heavier loads, 16 x 0.9mm or 16 x 1.0mm may be more appropriate. For lighter carton work, 12mm strap is often used. Confirm the rated strap range for your machine before ordering.
Ideally: machine make, model (if known), current strap width, current strap thickness, smooth or embossed finish, and your application or load type. If you do not have all of this, share what you can — we will help fill in the gaps where possible.
