The increased thickness of 0.9mm provides more body stiffness than 0.7mm strap, which can affect feed behaviour in some machines. Confirm your machine accepts 0.9mm thickness and can tension to the levels required for your load. Not all machines rated for 16mm strap accept all thickness variants.
